Hi All, Just a brief note regarding several Sponsored Job advertisements we have recently been sharing.
To identify Sponsored jobs in Australia, we use a proprietary algorithm that identifies multiple keywords across several online job boards.
If the advertisement matches the criteria that we set to identify an employer willing to sponsor overseas candidates, we collect brief information about the role including job title, location and a short description. We then share the opportunities as an Australian ‘sponsored job’ opportunity on our website.
This process is fully automated with the intent being that we can save our visitors going through the process of trawling multiple (sometimes unknown) job boards finding those difficult to find sponsored job opportunities!
In the lead up to Christmas, we have noticed that several vacancies have been identified as offering sponsorship; however, the nature of these jobs clearly doesn’t match the criteria to qualify for a 482 Visa (e.g. Casual assistant at a liquor store)!
Australian Sponsored Jobs that might not be!
We have manually checked the source for these jobs, and we have identified that the employers are indeed advertising that “No work eligibility is required” and that they are “willing to sponsor the right candidate”. However, we are pretty confident that this is not the case.
As we enter the busy Christmas period where the number of casual opportunities increases, we’ll be looking to manually review sponsored job opportunities before sharing these on our job boards. This may result in slightly more extended periods between job posts; however, we will be returning to more regular, automated posting methods after the Christmas period.

If we miss any jobs and you happen upon a “sponsored job” opportunity that doesn’t appear quite right, please use the report feature at the bottom of the job ad to bring these job postings to our attention.
